Mr. Zutell

Teacher of English, 8th Grade

REMIND 101: zutellela

I graduated cum laude from Tulane University in 2009 with degrees in Philosophy and English as a member of the infamous “Katrina class”—displaced by the hurricane on the first day of our freshman year. After spending that semester at Duke University, I returned to New Orleans where I studied music extensively and sang with Tulane’s official a cappella group, Green Envy. After teaching music and choir for a number of years with the national non-profit organization Little Kids Rock!, I went on to get my Masters of Teaching English.  After graduating from that program at the University of New Orleans, I decided to move to Charleston, my family's home. This is my second year working at Camp Road Middle School and my tenth year as an educator.

I have also taught abroad as an ESL teacher in Costa Rica and China.
